中國古人曾將碎石懸在一起，風吹時就能發(fā)出清脆的聲音，他們將這種東西稱為“占風鐸(zhan feng duo)”，目的是用來知風。占風鐸應該就是風鈴(wind-bell)的起源。有人認為風鈴會招魂，不宜擺放，但是在亞洲的一些地區(qū),人們認為風鈴能帶來好運，常用風鈴來預測風水(feng shui)。風鈴能發(fā)出令人愉快的清脆聲音，因此人們在悶熱潮濕的夏日就會把風鈴掛在窗邊，給人以清爽的感覺。
