To celebrate the International Day of Peace observed each year on September 21st, mobile app Agora challenged international photographers to illustrate what "Peace" means to them in one photo. As a result, 11,500 photos from all corners of the world were submitted to the #Peace2020 contest.

The International Day of Peace, also known as Peace Day, was established by the United Nations back in 1981 in an attempt to provide a “globally shared date for all humanity to commit for Peace above all differences.” The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening ideals of peace through observing 24 hours of non-violence and ceasefire.

國(guó)際和平日，也被稱(chēng)為和平日，是聯(lián)合國(guó)于1981年設(shè)立的，目的是“為全人類(lèi)提供一個(gè)全球共同的日子，讓他們摒棄一切分歧，致力于和平”。聯(lián)合國(guó)大會(huì)宣布這一天為通過(guò)遵守24小時(shí)非暴力和?；饋?lái)加強(qiáng)和平理想的一天。

To celebrate this important milestone, the global creative platform Agora launched the #Peace2020 photo contest on August 14th. Photographers had until August 28th to participate with their best shots in the app and illustrate what "Peace" means to them through their camera lens for the chance to be selected in the Top 50 finalists and make it to the voting phase.

為了慶祝這一重要的里程碑，全球創(chuàng)意平臺(tái)Agora于8月14日發(fā)起了“和平2020攝影大賽”。攝影師們可以在8月28日之前在app上展示他們最好的照片，并通過(guò)相機(jī)鏡頭展示“和平”對(duì)他們的意義，從而有機(jī)會(huì)入圍前50名，并進(jìn)入投票階段。

Congratulations to Kenyan photographer @rashid_sp whose photo "A peaceful world is a fruitful one" gathered the most votes from the Agora global community, making him the #Peace2020 Hero and granting him the top prize of $1,000.

祝賀肯尼亞攝影師@rashid_sp，他的“和平的世界是富有成果的”照片在Agora全球社區(qū)獲得最多選票，使他成為“和平2020英雄”，并獲得最高獎(jiǎng)1000美元。

"The most voted image of #Peace2020 is a manifesto of love, hope, and the future. When either side of a conflict declares peace, the sides cease to exist, and the opposites merge into one community," said Octavi Royo, Agora's co-founder and CEO.

“投票最多的‘和平2020’圖片是愛(ài)、希望和未來(lái)的宣言。當(dāng)沖突的任何一方宣告和平時(shí)，雙方就會(huì)不復(fù)存在，對(duì)立的一方會(huì)融合到一個(gè)社區(qū)中。
