Dear Yulin,
Once again, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to write you back. My classes are going well; I’m having less trouble understanding my professors. But we have tests coming up soon, and I’m not very confident about my English writing ability.
My roommate is okay; she’s a little bit picky about some things, like keeping the place clean, but we get along all right. The student association organizes dances and parties. I’ve met a few guys at them, but none that I’m really interested in. Anyway, I don’t necessarily have to date Taiwanese guys, do I? I need to make some American friends, too. But for now I’m too busy with schoolwork to think about finding a boyfriend.
Well, I’ve got to go do some reading, so I’ll end this letter here. Let me know how you are doing.
Sincerely,
Julie
