Ken:I'm sorry Janey,I tried to buy you some of the perfume, but they discontinued it three years ago.
Janey:No wonder we couldn't find it anywhere;and all along I thought it was because you could only buy it in France.
Ken:Apparently not.I'm sorry.I know you had your heart set on it.
Janey:No problem_o.Thanks for trying though.I really appreciate it.
Ken:Don't mention it.It's the least could do.Here,I bought you this other perfume instead.
別客氣,我只能做到這一點(diǎn)??纯?,我跟你買了別的香水;
I know it's no substitute,but I hope you'll like it.
Janey:Gee thanks!You really shouldn't have ,but I love it.
Ken:Really? You sure it isn't too flowery?
Janey:No way. It's perfect.I don't like the spicy kind and I have an aversion to wearing the powdery kind.
It reminds me of mom.
Ken:Great.I'm psyched you like it.
Janey:It's pretty funky.Where did you find it?
Ken:Actually,that's a funny story.
I took a tour through this perfume factory and ended up buying it there.
Janey:That sounds normal enough.
Ken:Right, but what I didn't tell you is that I got to do a little chemistry and make some perfume as well.
Janey:You mean to tell me that you made this perfume from scratch?
Ken:I just threw in a pinch of this, some of that,a little bit of that over there and voila,I ended up with your perfume.
Janey:That's incredible!Sounds like loads of fun.
Ken:My inspiration was actually your other perfume, you know the one they discontinued.
Janey:Actually,I like yours better. You should put it on the market.
I'm sure you'd make a ton of money.
