It's a raining Saturday, and there is nothing really going on. Marian and Jeanine hit the mall.
Marian: Hoo, I'm getting tired, Jeanine, been a long day.
Jeanine: I'm not quitting yet. You know my favourite slogan, don't you?
Marian: Yeah, I know. Shop till you drop.
Jeanine: Right!
Marian: I'm getting a little short on cash. Let's just window shop a little.
Jeanine: Ok.
Marian: Hey, Jeanine, get a load of that. It's beautiful. [get a load of: vt. 仔細(xì)看]
Jeanine: Hahaha, and I thought you were tired.
Marian: You know .. I have a weakness for long dresses.
Jeanine: It sure looks special, looks expensive too.
Marian: Sure does. Hey, can I sponge a little cash of you?
Jeanine: Don't worry, Marian, I've got you covered.
Marian: Thanks, Jeanine, you are a real pal. Let's go in.
Dialogue 2
Tonia and Amy are window shopping a big mall nearby.
Tonia: Wow, Amy, look at that number.
Amy: What's so great about it?
Tonia: What do you mean? It's a scrim.
Amy: Not to me, I wouldn't be caught dead in that.
Tonia: I love that kind of stuff.
Amy: Yeah, you seem to like those styles.
Tonia: Sure do. I get a kick out of looking punk.
Amy: This one looks really expensive though.
Tonia: I don't care how much it costs. I'm rolling in it.
Amy: Lucky you! I can't buy anything else. I'm flat broke. [flat broke: 身無(wú)分文]
Tonia: I got a replace my party outfit, I trashed it last week.
Amy: Why did you drag me into this? I've spent a week salary.
Tonia: Are you on the level? You're the one who called me, remember?
Amy: Just joking, Tonia. I've got some wonderful clothes. Let's go and have a close look at your outfit.
