當我們談論某人或某事怪怪的時，有一個最恰當?shù)挠⒄Z單詞：weird，怪怪的，它可以用來形容一個人，也可以描述一件事有些蹊蹺。

Jason is acting weird today, what's wrong with him? 杰桑今天怪怪的，他怎么了?

Tony is a little weird, be careful when you're talking to him.　托尼這人有點怪，和他談話時要小心點。

The atmosphere here is weird, what's going on?這里的氣氛有點怪，發(fā)生什么事了?

Carrie is weird about her hair.凱麗對她的頭發(fā)過度緊張。

下面，要介紹一個很活用的口語表達法：Here's the thing，意思是"是這樣的，事情是這樣的，問題是"：

Here's the thing, even if I could get it together enough to ask a woman out,

whom am I going to ask?　問題是，即便我鼓足勇氣去邀請某個女人，我又該去邀請誰呢?
