"do"是一個(gè)用法相當(dāng)廣泛的詞，在很多時(shí)候，當(dāng)你不知道該用什么動(dòng)詞來(lái)表達(dá)你的意思，何嘗不試試用"do"呢?"do"可以用來(lái)做很多東西：

You seldom do your homework.你總是不做你的家庭作業(yè)。

I have a lot of laundry to do tonight.我今晚要洗一大堆衣服。

Patience and perseverance will do wonders. 耐心和毅力可產(chǎn)生奇跡。

I'll do a translation for you. 我來(lái)幫你翻譯。

Who will do the cooking tomorrow?明天誰(shuí)做飯?

Are you doing science at school? 你在學(xué)校里學(xué)科學(xué)嗎?

Please do the flowers, arrange them in vases. 請(qǐng)你插一下花。

Go and do your hair. 去梳梳頭。

Have you done your teeth? 你刷過(guò)牙了嗎?

I will do you next, sir. 下一個(gè)就輪到您了，先生。

I have a lot of correspondence to do. 我有很多信件要處理。

下次，當(dāng)你很痛苦于不知道該用哪個(gè)動(dòng)詞時(shí)，可以試試用這個(gè)萬(wàn)能動(dòng)詞"do"哦。

用"do"的過(guò)去分詞"done"表示完成：

The interior design for your apartment will be done by the weekend. 你公寓的室內(nèi)設(shè)計(jì)會(huì)在這個(gè)周末完成。

Is your report done?你的報(bào)告寫完了嗎?

Done, let's go out and grab something to eat. 搞好了，現(xiàn)在出去吃點(diǎn)東西吧。

"…will do.", "…won't do."的意思，表示可行，可以，或者不可行，不可以。

Can I bother you for a while, 5 minutes will do. 我能打擾你一會(huì)兒?jiǎn)?5分鐘就夠了。

--Would you like coffee or tea? 你想要點(diǎn)咖啡還是茶?

--Thanks, tea will do. 謝謝，來(lái)杯茶吧。

I'm afraid your proposal won't do. 我恐怕你的提議行不通。
