Sinatra died in 1998 at the age of 82. Back in 2015, his daughter Tina Sinatra told PEOPLE that the legendary performer "wanted to live to be a hundred more than life."
“His ambition was to live as long as he could, as close to a hundred as he could. He thought that would be swell,” she said. Tina also told PEOPLE that she has a deep appreciation for his generation of fans.
"If they know his music, they rely on it to lift spirits or to celebrate or to entertain company or to fall asleep to his singing. If they have Frank’s music so interlaced in their own daily life and rely on him emotionally to work his magic, they know him very well," she said. "So they know that he had to be a man who was feeling and sensitive and tough and gentle and really valued living, even if it wasn’t always pleasant. Life was the gift.”
