Jennifer Garner is spreading the word about Giving Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the 13 Going on 30 star shared a video of herself cheerfully speaking with a small group of kids at the Early Learning Academy in Quitman County, Mississippi. As another comes to hug her, she loses her balance and topples over as they all laugh together.

“This #GivingTuesday please consider donating to @savethechildren’s efforts to help all children in need,” Garner captioned the clip that she shared in a joint Instagram post with the non-profit organization, which promises to give kids “a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.”

The clip was filmed during Garner's visit to the academy earlier this fall with NBC News' Cynthia McFadden, Garner explained.

“The educators are amazing, mission driven brain architects. The kids are adorable and lucky to be in such a unique early childhood program. I’m proud that @savethechildren supports programs like this one in rural America,” she continued.

Over on her Instagram Story, the Once Upon a Farm co-founder wrote that 30 percent of proceeds from online sales of her nutritional products would be donated to Save the Children.

Before the Mississippi stop, Garner joined McFadden in Alpaugh, California, for a Nov. 16 segment for Today to discuss the need for fresh food to be accessible in the U.S. and Garner's work with Save the Children.

Garner, a board member and ambassador for the organization, has been with the non-profit for 15 years. She handed out activity packets to local kids before reading to a classroom full of young students.

“It makes me feel like they know I’m on their side,” she told McFadden, who brought up how happy the children were to hug her after story time.

“We should be celebrating these teachers. We should be lifting up that superintendent,” Garner added while discussing literacy programs that have improved in recent years. The Golden Globe winner also stressed the importance of not letting rural America be forgotten.

Speaking with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie after the pre-recorded segment, Garner acknowledged that English was a second language for many in the Alpaugh area. She noted that the books donated to the children feature bilingual text, which allows the parents to learn with their kids.

In a September 2021 PEOPLE interview, Garner discussed her joy in not only being an ambassador and trustee for Save the Children, but also for partnering with them as well.

At the time, $0.25 was donated to the charity for every purchase of Once Upon a Farm's second limited-edition, give-back blend, Farmer Jen's Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookie, up to $50,000.

She revealed she chose that particular flavor because her family "always cooked with pumpkin growing up because canned pumpkin is inexpensive."

"It's the most gorgeous, full-circle thing for me because the whole reason that I started working for Save the Children is because my mom grew up really poor on this farm in Oklahoma," Garner said.
