The death toll from a factory blast in east China's Jiangsu Province rose to 75 on Monday as a senior official in charge of the country's work safety said "very serious dereliction of duty" was behind the accident.
本周一,江蘇(昆山)工廠爆炸導致的死亡人數已上升至75人,安監(jiān)總局局長表示該事故屬于“重大責任事故”。
江蘇昆山工廠的粉塵爆炸(dust explosion)被認定為“重大責任事故”(very serious dereliction of duty),原因為粉塵濃度超標(excessive concentration of dust),遇到火源發(fā)生爆炸。
該事故同時也暴露了工廠在工人權益保護(protection of workers' rights)和安全生產(work safety)方面執(zhí)行不力。工廠沒有對工人進行安全培訓,沒有按規(guī)定配備阻燃、防靜電勞保用品;違反勞動法規(guī),超時組織作業(yè)。
