隨著中國國力不斷增強(qiáng)、海外影響力上升，中國兩會(huì)的媒體關(guān)注度越來越高，外媒對這一盛事的稱呼也漸漸“入鄉(xiāng)隨俗”。
“兩會(huì)”的英文全稱是the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)，外媒往往將其簡稱為Two Sessions。
早在2018年，有的英文媒體在報(bào)道中國兩會(huì)時(shí)，就開始直接使用它的漢語拼音“lianghui”。今年3月1日，彭博社的報(bào)道說：Together， they're known as the Lianghui， or “Two Sessions.”值得注意的是，彭博社不僅使用了“兩會(huì)”的漢語拼音，而且把首字母大寫，儼然把它當(dāng)作了一個(gè)專有名詞。
英文維基百科網(wǎng)站的“Two Sessions”詞條也特別提到它的漢語拼音：The Two Sessions (NPC CPPCC National Committee annual sessions)， or in Chinese Lianghui is a common Mandarin Chinese abbreviation for a pair of organizations which have close relations.
漢語拼音是中國官方頒布并得到國際普遍承認(rèn)的漢字拼寫方案，英文報(bào)道對兩會(huì)的表述變遷反映出全球持續(xù)升溫的“中文熱”，與中華文化的國際影響力日益增強(qiáng)密不可分。(何金娥)
