Mate (n.) - Colloquial term for friend. n. 伙伴，配偶，同事

如：He is looking for a wife but he hasn't found his ideal mate.

他正在尋找未來的妻子，但還沒有找到理想人選。

The male hunts for food while his mate guards the nest.

雌性動物守巢時，雄性動物獵食。

Pushy (adj.) - Over-enthusiastic. adj. 強求的

如：He made himself unpopular by being so pushy.
