　　ahead of the game

　　1. 解詞釋義

　　老美喜愛(ài)比賽，很有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)意識(shí)。當(dāng)他們大敗對(duì)方時(shí)，他們會(huì)歡呼雀躍，興奮不已。 ahead of game的字面意思是“在比賽中領(lǐng)先”，引申為“領(lǐng)先，居于優(yōu)勢(shì)”“處于有利地位，由于贏家地位”。在其后加上介詞by，即為：ahead of game，表示“通過(guò)做某事而領(lǐng)先與他人，居于優(yōu)勢(shì)”, game在這里表示“競(jìng)爭(zhēng)”。ahead ofthe game之前可以用不同的動(dòng)詞，比如to stay ahead of the game，或者是to keep someoneahead of the game，get ahead of the game。

　　2. 拓展例句

　　e.g. Let's get out of the stock market while we are still ahead of the game.

　　趁我們現(xiàn)在還賺錢趕快從股票市場(chǎng)撤退。

　　e.g. The time you spend in your training will put you ahead of the game in the match.

　　這個(gè)學(xué)期， 我要選滿課程，還要打半工，我會(huì)非常忙。所以我打算在開(kāi)學(xué)前就把課本買好，盡量多看一些。這樣我就會(huì)走在前頭， 至少在一段時(shí)間里可以如此。

　　Ps：to be frank的意思是“坦誠(chéng)地說(shuō)，老實(shí)說(shuō)”。例如：

　　To be frank, this mission is beyond my might.

　　說(shuō)實(shí)話,這一使命非我能力所及。

　　To be frank, I had not expected such gorgeous creations.

　　說(shuō)老實(shí)話，我沒(méi)想到能看到這么漂亮的時(shí)裝。
