A man who had been going out with a young womancame to call on her one night carrying a little box inhis pocket. At what he judged to be the right time,he pulled out the box, opened it and showed hisbeloved an engagement ring with her nameengraved inside. "I want you to be my wife," he said.
男子和女子交往了一段時(shí)間。一天晚上,他來拜訪她,口袋里裝著一個(gè)小盒子。他覺得時(shí)機(jī)已成熟,就拿出小盒子,打開給心愛的人看,里面是一只訂婚戒指,背面還刻著女子的名字。“我希望你能做我的妻子。”他說。
"I don't know how to tell you this," she replied, "but I love another."
“我不知道該怎么跟你說。”女子回答,“我愛上了別人。”
"Tell me his name!" the suitor demanded.
“告訴我他叫什么名字!”求婚者問道。
"No, no," she shouted. "Do you wanted a fight?"
“不,不。”她喊道:“你要打架嗎?”
"No," shouted back the man. "I just want to sell him this ring."
