An old man and woman were married for years eventhough they hated each other. When they had afight, screams and yelling could be heard deep intothe night.
一對(duì)老夫婦在一起生活了很多年,雖然他們彼此憎恨。每次他們吵架時(shí),尖叫聲和咒罵聲就會(huì)回蕩在夜空中。
A constant statement heard by the neighbors who feared the man the most was "When I die Iwill dig my way up and out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!"
鄰居們很怕那個(gè)老頭,因?yàn)槌B?tīng)他說(shuō)的話是:“我死了以后會(huì)從墳?zāi)估锿诔鰜?lái)找你,讓你永遠(yuǎn)不得安寧。”
They believed he practiced black magic and was responsible for missing cats and dogs, andstrange sounds at all hours.
他們認(rèn)為他會(huì)巫術(shù),那些失蹤的貓狗和不時(shí)發(fā)出的奇怪的聲音都是他造成的。
He died abruptly under strange circumstances. After the funeral, the wife went straight to thelocal bar and began to party as if there were no tomorrow. The gaiety of her actions wasbecoming extreme while her neighbors approached in a group to ask these questions.
有一天他突然離奇地死去了。葬禮后,他的妻子直接去了當(dāng)?shù)氐男【起^不顧一切地縱酒狂歡。她的極度快樂(lè)引得鄰居們圍攏來(lái)問(wèn)她:
"Are you not afraid? Concerned? Worried? That this man who practiced black magic and statedwhen he died he would dig his way up and out of the grave to come back and haunt for therest of your life?"
“你那死去的老頭會(huì)巫術(shù)啊,他說(shuō)過(guò)他死后會(huì)從墳?zāi)估锿诔鰜?lái)找你,讓你永遠(yuǎn)不得安寧啊。你不害怕嗎?你沒(méi)有感到不安嗎?你不擔(dān)心嗎?”
The wife put down her drink and said...
她放下酒杯說(shuō):
"Nah... let the old man dig. I had him buried upside down!"
“哦,讓那死老頭挖去吧。我把他臉朝下埋的!”
