VAT是加值稅(Value-added tax)的縮寫，英國的加值稅是17.5%，稅率相當(dāng)高，不過食品和小孩子的衣物是免稅的。

臺(tái)灣的車多半是自排，但是英國卻以手排車占多數(shù)，所以如果想要和租自排車，最好至少提前一周預(yù)約。

在美語中l(wèi)icense名詞和動(dòng)詞的拼法是一樣的，但是英式英語中的licence 是名詞，動(dòng)詞用license。
