停車加油

Kathy and Evan finish their picture taking and continue driving.

凱西和艾凡拍完照后繼續(xù)開車。

E:Uh-oh. My gas gauge is way down. I'd better stop someplace for gas.

艾　凡：糟了。車子油表指針降到底了。我最好找個(gè)地方停車加油。

K:There's always a gas station or two at every exit of a highway. Just take the next exit.

凱　西：高速公路的每個(gè)出口都有一、兩個(gè)加油站。就在下個(gè)出口下去吧。

E:As luck would have it, there's an exit right here. You're right. There's the sign for gas. I'll get off here.

艾　凡：運(yùn)氣真好，這里剛好就有一個(gè)出口。你說得沒錯(cuò)。那里有個(gè)加油的告示牌。我就在這里下去了。

(Evan drives off the ramp and along the road to the nearest gas station. An attendant comes out to their car.)

(艾凡開車下了匝道，沿路開到最近的加油站。一名加油站服務(wù)人員從里面走出來，來到他們的車前。)

E:Good morning. Er, do you speak English?

艾　凡：早安。呃，你會(huì)講英文嗎?

A:Some. Not too good. Can I help you?

服務(wù)員：會(huì)一點(diǎn)兒。但不太好。需要我為你效勞嗎?

E:Yes, would you please fill 'er up?

艾　凡：是的，麻煩你加滿好嗎?

A:I'm sorry?

服務(wù)員：對(duì)不起，你說什么?

E:Uh, I'd like some gas. As much as you can.

艾　凡：嗯，我想加汽油。加越多越好。

A:Oh! I see. Just a minute. (She fills the tank.)

服務(wù)員：噢!我知道了。請(qǐng)等一下。(她把油箱加滿。)

E:Thank you. Do you take credit cards?

艾　凡：謝謝。你們這里接受信用卡付費(fèi)嗎?

A:Sorry?

服務(wù)員：對(duì)不起，你說什么?

E:(showing her a credit card) Do you take these?

艾　凡：(拿一張信用卡給她看)你們接受這種嗎?

A:Ya! Visa! Just a minute.

服務(wù)員：啊!Visa卡!請(qǐng)稍等一下。

E:(to Kathy) I guess credit cards are the international language!

艾　凡：(對(duì)著凱西)我想信用卡是國(guó)際語言!
