and for having me here to celebrate these amazing women

and the incredible work they are doing through the world

共同慶祝她們在全世界范圍內(nèi)所做出的杰出工作

 

It has been my honor to attend the celebration for the last three years

在過去的三年里 我都有幸參與這場慶典

 

As first lady of the United States and I'm proud to represent our country

作為美國的第一夫人 我很自豪能代表我們的國家

 

that empowers and support women here at home and on an international scale

Throughout history, women have contributed in so many ways to our society

Tomorrow is International Women's Day

明天就是國際婦女節(jié)

 

yet another opportunity to recognize the work of women throughout time

這也是個表彰女性長期以來做出的貢獻的機會

 

Women continue to influence the world in so many powerful ways

女性將繼續(xù)以如此強有力的方式影響著這個世界

 

We now have more women in Congress than any other time in our nation's history

在美國歷史上 沒有哪個時候比現(xiàn)在有更多的女性在國會工作

 

Women's unemployment in the United States has reached the lowest level in 65 years

美國女性的失業(yè)率達到了65年來的最低水平

 

and more than 2 million more women are working today than in November 2016

與2016年的11月相比 今天有超過200萬的女性在工作崗位上

 

This is something to celebrate 

這是值得慶祝的事情

 

As I have said before, I believe courage is one of the qualities we need most in society

It is what propels us forward

Courage is what divide those who only talk about change from those who actually act to change

Courage take sacrifice, bravery and humility

The courage of women throughout our history continues to inspire us

and it is my great privilege to recognize today women who have achieved remarkable success

I know we all have the courage within us to achieve great things for the betterment of this world

The women we are cornering today, a symbol of courage

The human rights advocates in some of the most dangerous parts of our world

and they have pushed through gender-based stereotypes to serve the greater good

This courageous women

nature and serve the lives of vulnerable and forgotten within communities

Through their work, they empower women everywhere
