名詞congratulation的四點(diǎn)用法說(shuō)明

1. 既可用可數(shù)名詞，也可用作不可數(shù)名詞。一般說(shuō)來(lái)，表示抽象意義的“祝賀”時(shí)，為不可數(shù)名詞。如：

It is a matter for congratulation. 這是一件可喜可賀的事。

She received a telegram of congratulations. 她收到一份祝賀電報(bào)。

He sent her a note of congratulation on her election victory. 她選舉獲勝，他就寄去了祝賀信。

但用作可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，總是用復(fù)數(shù)形式，表示祝賀詞。如：

Congratulations poured in from everywhere. 祝賀像潮水一樣從四面八方涌來(lái)。

They crowded round the player with congratulations. 他們圍著那個(gè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員，向他祝賀。

2. 表示因?yàn)槟呈露硎咀ＹR，其后接介詞on，不用for。如：

Congratulations on passing your exam. 祝賀你通過(guò)了考試。

My warmest congratulations on your promotion! 我對(duì)你的提升表示最熱烈的祝賀！

3. 若要加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣，其前可用deepest（衷心的），heartiest / hearty / sincere（誠(chéng)摯的），warm / warmest（熱烈的）等形容詞修飾。如：

My warmest congratulations on your promotion! 我對(duì)你的提升表示最熱烈的祝賀！

4. 在結(jié)婚典禮上，人們可以對(duì)新郎說(shuō)Congratulations，但習(xí)慣上不對(duì)新娘說(shuō)Congratulations。
