事到如今，我們就見機(jī)行事吧。
play it by ear直譯過來就是：“玩耳朵”，這個短語的正確意思是：“隨機(jī)應(yīng)變，見機(jī)行事”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"With things as such, let's play it by ear."時，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Under the circumstancesnow, let's trim the sails."、"Things have come to such a pass, let's play to the score."。
