Bite your tongue.
請保持沉默。
bite your tongue直譯過來就是：“咬住你自己的舌頭”，這個短語的正確意思是：“保持沉默，忍住不說”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"Bite your tongue."時，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Keep silence."、"Don't speakout."、"Don't tattle about other people's business."。
情景對白：
Jane: Hey, what do you think of the tie that our boss is wearing?
簡：嘿，你覺得我們老板今天戴的那條領(lǐng)帶怎么樣?
