不要再拐彎抹角了!

beat around the bush 字面意思是：“在灌木叢中四處敲打”，這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)起源于古代有錢(qián)人家打獵時(shí)，都會(huì)雇用一個(gè)專門(mén)打草驚蛇的人，好讓真正的獵者能夠順利獵捕。現(xiàn)在， 這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的正確意思是：“旁敲側(cè)擊，說(shuō)話繞圈子”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Stop beating around the bush!"時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Please speak directly!"、"Don't equivocate!"、"Keep straightforward!"。

情景對(duì)白：
Shirley: Jane, stop beating around the bush! What do you really want to say?

雪莉：簡(jiǎn)，不要再拐彎抹角了!你到底想說(shuō)什么啊?
