In order to protect the life or health of fauna and flora and prevent fraud, import-exportcommodity inspection is carried out. 進出口商品檢驗應當保護動物或者植物的生命和健康，防止欺詐行為。
Imported commodities which do not go through the inspection formality are not allowed tosell or use; exported commodities which prove to be disqualified in the process of inspectionare forbidden to be exported. 進口商品未經(jīng)檢驗的，不準銷售、使用;出口商品未經(jīng)檢驗合格的，不準出口。
The import and export commodities which meet the conditions for exemption of inspectionprovided for by the State may be exempted from inspection upon the examination andapproval of an application from the consignee or consignor by the State Administration forCommodity Inspection. 進出口商品中符合國家規(guī)定的免予檢驗條件的，有收貨人或者發(fā)貨人申請，經(jīng)國家商檢部門審查批準，可以免予檢驗。
