The Chinese New Year celebration lasts for 15 days. It is the longest and most important celebration on the Chinese calendar. According to legend, the animal that represents each year comes with its own unique personality traits.

中國新年的慶祝已經(jīng)持續(xù)15天了，這是中國日歷上最重要持續(xù)時(shí)間最長(zhǎng)的節(jié)日。根據(jù)傳說，每個(gè)動(dòng)物所代表的那一年有著自己獨(dú)特的特質(zhì)。

So what might the Dragon have in store for the year ahead? Stan Grant looks at some of the possibilities.

那龍年將會(huì)給新一年的開始帶來什么呢?Stan Grant查找了一些資料。

A new year, but old worries -- money, mostly. Millions of Chinese flocking to traditional temples to pray for good fortune.

全新的一年，但是不變的絕對(duì)是人們對(duì)金錢的擔(dān)憂。成千上萬的中國人都向吉祥物祈求一年財(cái)源滾滾。

"Our family hopes to buy a car this year, but we still need to look at the costs of registration, if we can afford it," this woman says.

今年我們打算買輛車，但是現(xiàn)在是有政策的，現(xiàn)在我們還不太清楚。那個(gè)女人說。

Dongyue is the god of life, death and everything in between. He`s also known as the guardian of 18 levels of Hell. People pray that Dongyue will prevail over the might of the Dragon. It is the most powerful symbol in the Chinese zodiac and can bring trouble.

正月是世間萬物生死的主宰。同樣也被認(rèn)為是十八層地獄的守護(hù)者。人們祈求正月神能戰(zhàn)勝龍。因?yàn)辇埵鞘だ锩孀罹哂型Φ南笳鳎瑫?huì)帶來災(zāi)難。

1976 was a Dragon year. An earthquake in Tangshan killed hundreds of thousands of people. China`s Supreme Leader Chairman Mao died. 2012 will bring its own challenges. China`s juggernaut economy is slowing. President Hu Jintao begins handing over power to a new generation of Communist leaders.

1976年是龍年，發(fā)生在唐山的地震造成了成千上萬人的死亡。中國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人毛澤東逝世。2012年將會(huì)給中國帶來新的挑戰(zhàn)。中國強(qiáng)勁的經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)速度在放緩。胡錦濤作為國家主席開始帶領(lǐng)下一任中國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人。

This is actually a Water Dragon year. It`s very rare, only happens once every 60 years. The difference? Well, a Water Dragon is meant to bring calm after chaos.

其實(shí)這是非常罕見的龍王年，每60年一次。有什么不同呢?龍王則會(huì)帶來亂世后的太平。

Du Longzhi is a Taoist priest. People come to him to glimpse the future. He likes what he sees.

杜龍志是道家學(xué)派的道士，人們都去找他預(yù)算未來，他對(duì)他看到的未來比較欣慰。

"The Dragon year is a year of luck, growth and prosperity," he says. "The dragon represents the sky and moving up, just like this flame."

他說，今年龍王年是集合吉祥，如意和財(cái)富的一年，龍王代表著天空一步步上升，就像這開滿天空的煙火一樣。
