　　1.stay up熬夜

　　2.Burn the midnight oil (熬夜)
　　以前的人都是用油燈來照明，如果有人在深夜時分燃點燈油，即表示那個人仍在努力的埋頭苦干?，F(xiàn)今，我們已不會再燃點油燈，但是這意思依然保留下來，因而有Burn the midnight oil這個成語的出現(xiàn)。Burn the midnightoil是指通宵達(dá)旦地工作，亦即是我們所謂的開夜車。要Burn the midnight oil的時候，實在是一件令人勞累的事，那么，大家就要小心身體了!
　　eg:“Angela is a workaholic. She always burns the midnight oil on her work. Angela是一個工作狂，她時常也在通宵工作。
　　3.相關(guān)成語Pull an all nighter
　　與Burn the midnight oil的意思相通。如：Teachers do not encourage students to pull an all nighterfor exams. They should pay attention during lessons.”(老師不會鼓勵學(xué)生在試前才溫書至深夜，他們應(yīng)該上課時專心聽書才對。)
