A:I have found it quite different here from China since I came to the United States.
A:我到美國(guó)后已經(jīng)發(fā)現(xiàn)這里和中國(guó)太不一樣。
B:What's the difference ?
B:什么不一樣?
A:Some friends of mine took me to the mall to go shopping. It was so big. I think I could get lost if I went there alone.
A:我的朋友帶我到購(gòu)物中心去買東西。那里太大了,我想如果我一個(gè)人去的話可能會(huì)迷路。
B:You must have bought many things in the mall?
B:那你肯定在購(gòu)物中心買了不少東西吧?
A:Not really many. I was told that on weekends there were always the flea markets, so I decided to come to the flea market to buy a bargain.
A:并沒有多少。我得知周末總有跳蚤市場(chǎng),所以我就想到跳蚤市場(chǎng)上淘點(diǎn)便宜貨。
B:It's wise to do it. The Americans have the habit of selling their junk when they are moving to another place, so they usually display all the things they want to sell in their gardens at the weekend. And many things they are selling still look quite new and they are also very useful.
B:這樣做很聰明。美國(guó)人有搬家賣舊貨的習(xí)慣,他們經(jīng)常會(huì)在周末把要賣的東西擺在他們家的院子里。而且很多東西都很新,很實(shí)用。
A:I have heard about it while in China. it is called a "yard sale". I didn't have any idea of that until today when I came here to the big "yard sale".
A:我在中國(guó)時(shí)就聽說過這個(gè)叫做“庭院舊貨出售”的詞。直到今天我到過這個(gè)大型的“庭院舊貨出售”,對(duì)它才有所了解。
B:You must have got many useful things for your new apartment.
B:你肯定為你那新公寓房添置了不少有用的東西吧。
