A:These days my son has turned his computer into an electronic playground. He plays football , rides horses , drives racing cars , and does a whole bunch of other things on the computer. The funny thing about it is that，no matter what he plays，he always wins first place. I wonder if he'll be able to cope with a defeat in real life.

A:最近我那兒子把他的電腦變成電子游樂場了。他在電腦上踢足球，騎馬，開賽車，還玩其他的游戲。有趣的是，不管他玩什么，總是得第一。真不知道他能否應付現(xiàn)實生活中的失敗。

B:Don't worry. He'll cross that bridge when he comes to it. My son reads a lot on his computer and uses e-mail to send messages to his friends almost every day. He's really absorbed by the discus-sons.

B:用不著擔心。船到橋頭自然直。我的兒子在電腦上看很多材料，幾乎每天都給他的朋友發(fā)電子郵件。他對那些討論會非常投人。

A:That's exactly like my wife. She spends at least two hours a day on the computers discussing things ranging from stock prices to soft-ware standards.

B:I guess using a computer has a great deal to do with human inter- action. Getting in touch with each other must be more fun to your wife and my son than the coolest computer games or the hottest in- formation.
