This Wednesday, we`re starting with a tragic story involving a 26- year-old woman named Kayla Mueller. She was an aid worker from Arizona. She had traveled all over the world to work with humanitarian groups.

本周三我們說(shuō)一個(gè)令人悲傷的故事，一個(gè)名叫 Kayla Mueller26歲女性的故事。她是來(lái)自亞利桑那州的救助工作者，她曾與人權(quán)組織到訪世界各國(guó)。

In August, 2013, she was taken hostage after leaving a hospital in Aleppo, Syria. The ISIS terrorist group initially demanded $7 million for her release.

在2013年8月份，她在離開(kāi)敘利亞阿勒頗一家醫(yī)院之后被逮捕作為人質(zhì)。伊斯蘭恐怖分子要求美國(guó)方面支付700萬(wàn)美元贖金換取她的性命。

But ISIS said it did not kill Mueller. It said on Friday she had been killed in a Jordanian air strike in Syria.

但是ISIS組織稱(chēng)其并不是IS組織殺害的人質(zhì)，而是周五在約旦空襲敘利亞時(shí)擊中了人質(zhì)致死。

The U.S. government says there`s no evidence that civilians were in the area of the strike, but that in any case, ISIS is responsible.

美國(guó)政府稱(chēng)沒(méi)有證據(jù)表明在其空襲區(qū)域有居民存在，無(wú)論如何，ISIS對(duì)此事是需要負(fù)責(zé)任的。
