US Airport Customs-Vacation-Memory
Around Christmas one winter,I went to Vancouver with two cousins.I had never been out of the country before. That is why I found out for the first time that we should not take too many things with us when we come back.
During the vacation,we went to the world famous mall and shopped like crazy. We brought back loads of souvenirs with us.A lot of items were nicely packaged in pretty boxes and gift-wraps.At that time the thought of going through customs never entered my mind.
Before getting out of the airport, the customs inspector checked our bags and told us that we should have filled out a declaration form with a list of the things we bought, along with the value of each item. Now when I go to another country, that experience keeps me from buying too much stuff.
