　　S= Salesperson C= Customer

　　The customer is looking for a watch.

　　顧客正在找他喜歡的手表。

　　S: Let me suggest this one. It's an excellent watch, it looks good, and it's only $100.

　　店員：我向您推薦這個。它是一只非常好的手表，美觀，而且只賣100元而已。

　　C: Hmm. That's not too bad. Does it have a stopwatch?

　　顧客：唔，還不錯，它上面有秒表嗎?

　　S: Uh, no. Analog watches don't come with stopwatches. You'll have to get a digital if you want a stopwatch.

　　店員：嗯，沒有，指針式手表沒有秒表，如果您要有秒表的，就得買電子表。

　　C: Oh. I see. Where are your digital watches?

　　顧客：哦，我懂了。你們的電子表放在哪里?

　　S: Right here.

　　C: I don't like this kind as much. Never mind the stopwatch then. I'll take that other one. Do you take checks?

　　S: Yes. Make it out to Time After Time.

　　1.look for... 尋找……

　　例：The couple is looking for a bigger apartment.

　　(那對夫妻正在找一間較大的公寓。)

　　2.suggest vt. 建議

　　suggest表示“建議”時屬意志動詞，其后常接that從句作賓語，該從句中原本要使用助動詞should，但should往往予以省略，而直接在主語后置動詞原形。

　　suggest that + S +(should) + V 建議 ……

　　例：The professor suggested that Jim( should) apply for medical school.

　　(教授建議吉姆申請念醫(yī)學(xué)院。)

　　3.stopwatch n. 秒表

　　4.analog watch 指針式手表

　　analog a. (鐘表)指針式的，有長針與短針的

　　5.digital 數(shù)字式手表，電子表

　　digital a. 數(shù)字的，表示計數(shù)的

　　6.本文：

　　=I don't like this kind as much as that kind.

　　我對這款式不像對那個那么喜歡。

　　7.mind vt. 介意(用于否定、疑問、條件句中)

　　例：Never mind the expense.

　　(別擔(dān)心費用。)

　　9.本文：

　　Make it out to Time After Time.

　　= Make the check out to Time After Time.

　　把支票開給Time After Time。

　　10. make out a check 開支票

　　例：I didn't have enough money with me, so I made out a check.
