After your greetings and you're seated, make sure you order with care.

Ignore your craving for the barbecued ribs or any other potentially messy dish...

...make sure not to order an alcoholic beverage even if your host does.

You might think it will help you relax...

...but nobody is going to trust you with their business if you get smashed over lunch time.

Don't dive into your food.

Make sure you wait until everyone is served.

Don't eat too fast or too slow.

Try to stay in step with your host.

Using good table manners is not only polite, but it also makes good business sense.

Posture is important and so is body language.

Who picks up the tab?

If you did the inviting, you are responsible for the check.

If a joint meeting, it's appropriate to split the tab.

The conclusion of a business meal is as important as its beginning.

A verbal "thank you" is very appropriate in the end, even if it didn't go as planned.
