"Look," said Dexter. "That must be a new kid in town."

“看，” 德克斯特說，“那一定是我們鎮(zhèn)新來的孩子。”

"Why does she have a paper bag over her head?" said Fox.

“她干嘛在頭上套個(gè)紙袋子?” 小狐說。

"Maybe she isn't very pretty," said Carmen.

“也許她不是很漂亮，” 卡門說。

"Maybe she is shy," said Dexter.

“也許她很害羞，” 德克斯特說。

"It isn't easy being a new kid," said Fox.

“新來的真不容易啊，” 小狐說。

"True," said the others.

“那是，” 其他人附和說。

"Hello there!" called out Fox.

“嗨，你好!” 小狐喊道。

The new kid stopped. She turned around.

新來的孩子停下來，她轉(zhuǎn)過身。

And just then a big wind blew away the paper bag.

正在這時(shí)一整大風(fēng)刮過來，把她頭上的紙袋吹走了。
