And down the river's dim expanse- Like some boldseër in a trance, Seeing all his own mischance- Witha glassy countenance Did she look to Camelot.

那河的水面上幽暗昏沉-像個恍惚的勇敢占卜人，預(yù)見到自己的全部不幸-她那木然而呆滯的眼睛遙望著那卡默洛特。

And at the closing of the day She loosed the chain, and down she lay;

Lying, robed in snowy white That loosely flew to left and right-

The leaves upon her falling light- Thro' the noises of the night She floated down to Camelot;

And as the boat-head wound along The willowy hills and fields among,

They heard her singing her last song, The Lady of Shalott.

Heard a carol, mournful, holy, Chanted loudly, chanted lowly,

Till her blood was frozen slowly, And her eyes were darken'd wholly, Turn'd to tower'd Camelot;

唱到她血液漸漸地冷卻，唱到她完全喪失了視力，望著城堡卡默洛特;

For ere she reach'd upon the tide The first house by the water-side, Singing in her song shedied, The Lady of Shalott.

她隨波逐流地一路漂去;沒漂到岸邊第一幢屋子，已在自己的歌聲中去世，女郎夏洛特。

Under tower and balcony, By garden-wall and gallery, A gleaming shape she floated by, Dead-pale between the houses high, Silent into Camelot.

白糊糊的身影顯得慘白，讓船帶著漂過塔樓、跳臺;她無聲地漂過圓墻、陽臺，漂過聳立在兩岸的高宅，就此漂進卡默洛特。

Out upon the wharfs they came, Knight and burgher, lord and dame, And round the prow theyread her name, 'The Lady of Shalott'

都擁到碼頭上看個究竟，爵爺和夫人、騎士和市民，在船頭上讀到她的芳名：‘島上的女郎夏洛特’

Who is this? and what is here?

這里是什么?這是什么人?

And in the lighted palace near Died the sound of royal cheer;

And they cross'd themselves for fear, All the knights at Camelot;

But Lancelot mused a little space; He said, "She has a lovely face;
