這已說得不少了;然而,對(duì)于亞哈的更偉大。

現(xiàn)在,在亞哈心里,就有這么一種閃覺,就是說:我所有的手段都是神志清楚的,我的動(dòng)機(jī)和目的卻是瘋狂的。

然而,他卻沒有力量來摧毀。變更和規(guī)避那一事實(shí);他同樣也知道他久已對(duì)人掩飾真情了;可以說,直到現(xiàn)在還是這樣。
But that thing of his dissembling was only subject to his perceptibility, not to his will determinate.
不過,關(guān)于他的這種掩飾做法,也只是以他的外表為限,而不涉及他那堅(jiān)毅的意志。
