A six-point regulation now bans the country's teaching staff from accepting gifts or money from students or their parents and attending banquets arranged by students' families.
The ministry says the six bans are the least teachers should do.
Are the rules necessary?
Topic2 Gaokao Top Scorers' Notes
After this year's college entrance examination, many top scoring students, or zhuang yuan, become well known by the public. And their notes are also becoming hot commodities on the Internet. A whole package of copied notes will cost more than 200 yuan, and whether it's useful or not, many parents and students are still buying it.
Are these notes helpful?
Topic3 Has "Chinese dama" been stigmatized?
Since 2013, the word "Chinese dama" has rushed into public attention. All of a sudden the word appears frequently in mass media. We see them dancing to loud music at squares home and abroad; we see them in expensive shopping malls and also in community open markets.
In headline news, they fight for seats on bus, bicker with members from other square dance groups, and purchase gold like buying discounted eggs. Somehow, dama has become a negative word. Are they being stigmatized?
