Topic1 24 Hours of Fasting Against Hunger A public campaign calling for people's awareness of the ongoing global hunger and poverty alleviation is attracting the attention of many Chinese.

The campaign, initiated by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, invites members of the public to take the challenge of experiencing hunger for 24 hours.

The initiative was made to mark the World Food Day, which falls on Oct. 16 every year, and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty which is observed on Oct. 17 every year.

Will the challenge accomplish its designed mission?

Topic2 Ministry of Education Released a List of Unpopular Majors Recently, the Ministry of Education released a list of "undergraduate majors with problems of low employment in last two years". 15 undergraduate majors are listed, and some of the previously hot majors such as animation, broadcasting and IP management are on the list as well.

Topic4 Chinese trains to get 'nostalgic' coat of green paint China's trains are about to get a vintage makeover.

The exterior color of trains, which is mostly red and blue, is to be a unified green by this year's end.

Bullet trains will stay white though.
