Arnold Schwarzenegger was not that famous in 1976 when he met with a newspaper reporter. The reporter asked Schwarzenegger, "Now you've retired from bodybuilding, what do you plan to do next?"
阿諾德·施瓦辛格1976年遇到一位新聞?dòng)浾邥r(shí)還不是那樣有名。記者問施瓦辛格:“你現(xiàn)在從健美運(yùn)動(dòng)中退出,下步打算做什么?”
Schwarzenegger answered very calmly and confidently, "I'm going to be the No. 1 movie star in Hollywood.” The reporter was shocked and amused at Schwarzenegger's plan. At that time, it was very hard to imagine how this muscle-bound bodybuilder, who was not a professional actor and who spoke poor English with a strong American Austrian accent, could ever hope to be Hollywood's No 1 movie star.
施瓦辛格非常平靜而自信地回答說:“我打算成為好萊塢頭號(hào)電影明星”記者聽到施瓦辛格的打算既震驚又覺得可笑。當(dāng)時(shí),很難想象這位肌肉結(jié)實(shí)的健美運(yùn)動(dòng)員,既不是職業(yè)演員,英語(yǔ)說得又差勁,還帶有很重的奧地利口音,怎么可能有希望成為好萊塢頭號(hào)電影明星呢。
So the reporter asked Schwarzenegger how he planned to make his dream come true, Schwarzenegger said, "I'll do it the same way I became the No.1 body builder in the world. What I do is to create a vision of whom I want to be, and then I start living like that person in my mind as if it were already true." Sounds almost childishly simple, doesn't it? But it worked! Schwarzenegger did become the No .1 highest-paid movie star in Hollywood!
所以,當(dāng)記者問施瓦辛格如何打算使夢(mèng)想成真時(shí)。施瓦辛格說:“我會(huì)像當(dāng)初成為世界頭號(hào)健美運(yùn)動(dòng)員樣去做。我要做的就是創(chuàng)造一個(gè)自己想做的那個(gè)人的形象,然后像我心里想的那個(gè)人那樣開始生活。”聽起來(lái)是不是很幼稚很簡(jiǎn)單?但起作用了施瓦辛格真的或了好萊塢收入最高的電影明星。
