昨天我們分享的關(guān)于貓咪的笑話，有不少粉絲留言說最后一個“Dogs have owners, cats have staff.”實在太過真實生動。哈哈，這些關(guān)于貓咪的段子，相信看完之后你肯定忍不住會笑吧？在英語中，除了 “make sb. laugh” 是逗某人笑的意思外，還有一個非常地道的到表達(dá) “in stitches”. 比如昨天的推文，就可以用這句： These cat jokes are sure to have you in stitches.

In stitches means to laugh so hard that you are not able to control yourself.

捧腹大笑意思就是你笑的太厲害，完全控制不住自己。

這個習(xí)語的來源：

A stitch is a stab of pain. It is generally used to describe a pain in your side from over exertion during exercise. It makes you bend over from pain, much the same as laughing can.

扎一針就會疼。通常用來用來描述運動時過度勞累引起的疼痛。它讓你從痛苦地彎下腰，（而彎腰的這個動作）和你笑的很厲害的時候一樣。這個習(xí)語最早出現(xiàn)在莎翁的《第十二夜》。
