Chinese celebrities who have had history with drugs will find it difficult to secure a job in the Chinese capital.
42 major agencies and performance troupes signed an agreement on Wednesday to boycott drug users.
They've vowed not to hire celebrities who have been caught in drug cases.
This agreement comes just days after Chinese actor Gao Hu was arrested for possesion and use of drugs.
Gao follows a list of celebrities who had been arrested on drug charges, including director Zhang Yuan, playwright Ning Caishen, and actor Zhang Mo.
As of May this year, there are 26,000 drug users on Beijing's official record, with the number increasing by nearly 12 percent each year.
