Mike: Hi, I'm Mike from Singapore and this is ....

邁克：嗨，我是邁克，來(lái)自新加坡，這位是……

MJ: MJ from Korea.

MJ：我是MJ，來(lái)自韓國(guó)。

Mike: OK, MJ, let's talk about mistakes. Should teachers correct students grammar mistakes?

邁克：好，MJ，我們來(lái)談?wù)勫e(cuò)誤。老師應(yīng)該糾正學(xué)生的語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤嗎?

MJ: Yes, I think so, cause as a foreigner my English grammar is not perfect and I got a lot of corrections from American or Western teachers that I now can write a pretty good English essay.

MJ：我認(rèn)為應(yīng)該，因?yàn)槲沂峭鈬?guó)人，我的英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法并不是很好，美國(guó)老師或來(lái)自西方國(guó)家的老師糾正了我的很多錯(cuò)誤，所以我現(xiàn)在才能寫(xiě)出優(yōu)秀的英語(yǔ)作文。

Mike: Really.

邁克：真的嗎?

MJ: What do you think Mike?

MJ：邁克，你的想法是什么?

Mike: I think, well if it's English class, probably yes, because we have to learn to write better, but if it is ... let's say for example, in our school, if it's class or international relations, then probably not that important. The reason is because ... well the teacher wouldn't want to do it anyway. Imagine, right, you have a hundred papers. Not only you want to mark about ... give them points on the topic and, you know, any good points that are brought up in the report. And now you have to do grammar mistakes marking for them as well. It's too much work.

邁克：我認(rèn)為，如果是英語(yǔ)課那可能應(yīng)該糾正語(yǔ)法，因?yàn)槲覀円獙W(xué)習(xí)并改進(jìn)自己的寫(xiě)作，但是如果……以我們學(xué)校為例，如果是國(guó)際關(guān)系之類(lèi)的課程，那可能語(yǔ)法并不是那么重要。因?yàn)槔蠋熞膊幌爰m正語(yǔ)法。想象一下，有100份試卷要評(píng)分。你不只要對(duì)他們就主題闡述的論點(diǎn)進(jìn)行判分，對(duì)報(bào)告中提到的好的觀點(diǎn)進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)。還要為他們糾正語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤。那工作量太大了。

MJ: Too much work.

MJ：工作量的確很大。

Mike: Right. It depends on what class you're in.

邁克：對(duì)。我認(rèn)為這取決于課程。

MJ: Yeah, I think so
