Lucy says that she "put a little dishwashing detergent on" a "sponge" to clean the dishes. 露西說她在“海綿上”“倒一點(diǎn)餐具洗滌劑”洗碗。

Detergent, "detergent," is another word for soap, a special kind of soap. 洗滌劑(detergent)是肥皂的另一種說法，是一種特殊肥皂。

In this case, it's soap for washing dishes, so it's dishwashing detergent -dishwashing soap - it's the same. 在這里，它是洗碗的肥皂，所以叫做餐具洗滌劑，也就是洗餐具的肥皂，都是一樣的。

You can also have detergent to wash your clothes, so the special soap you use to wash your clothes in a machine would be called detergent. 還有洗衣服的洗滌劑，洗衣機(jī)里用的洗衣服的特殊肥皂也叫作洗滌劑。

Lucy puts the dishwashing detergent on a sponge. 露西把餐具洗滌劑倒在一塊海綿上。

A sponge, "sponge," is a small piece of material that has holes in it and it's used for washing dishes. 海綿(sponge)是一小塊布滿小孔的材料，可以用來洗碗。

The water goes into the sponge, and because of these holes, the water is absorbed by the sponge, that is it stays in the sponge so it is good for cleaning. 水會(huì)進(jìn)入海綿。這些小孔將水吸入海綿，并且水不會(huì)流出來，這樣洗東西比較方便。
