#1 I'm swamped!

Swamp: 沼澤

“忙死了”最形象、最對應(yīng)的英語說法：

It's the end of the year. I'm swamped. 年底，忙死了!

I'm swamped by work. 全是工作!

I'm feeling so swamped. 感覺忙不過來、喘不過氣!

#2 I'm drowning in work!

Drown: 溺水

Drown和swamp一樣，都比喻被淹沒：

I'm drowning in work. 工作太多，我被完全淹沒了!

#3 I'm buried in work!

Bury: 埋葬

To be buried in something. 被埋葬了

I am buried in work. 我被工作埋了

#4 I'm up to my eyeballs.

Eyeballs: 眼球

這個說法形容的是工作太多，堆積到視平線!

I'm up to my eyeballs in work.

換個名詞，用法更多!

I'm up to my eyeballs in debt. 債務(wù)一大堆

#6 I'm overloaded & underpaid...

大家都知道over time (加班), 其實前綴over還有更多用法：

I'm overloaded with work. 工作超負(fù)荷!

I'm overworked. 工作太多了!

換個反義詞under：

I'm underpaid. 工資太低!

I'm underslept. 睡眠太少!

如果年終拿個大紅包，一切都值得!

A big bonus will make up for everything!

#7 I'm slaving away & #8 I'm toiling away.

Slave: 奴隸

To toil: 干苦活

這兩個說法都強(qiáng)調(diào)很辛苦，不過有些區(qū)別：

I'm slaving away: 通常指為別人(老板)干活

I'm toiling away: 可能是為你自己干，比如辛苦創(chuàng)業(yè)

#9 I've got a full plate!

Plate是盤子，除了用在吃上，也可以形容人生這盤菜：

I have a full plate.

My plate is full.

I have a lot on my plate.

There're lots on my plate.

都是形容安排很滿，忙不過來。
