If you work at a big company, usually you are divided into smaller groups that work on the same topic — the same type of work. 如果你在大公司上班，一般你會(huì)被分到工作類型相同的小組里。

So, there is an accounting section and there is a sales section. 因此，公司里會(huì)有會(huì)計(jì)部和銷售部。

One way to describe those smaller groups is an area, 描述那些小組的一種方法就是區(qū)域。

so people in your area would be people who work next to you on the same things that you do. 因此，在你區(qū)域的人便是和你一起做相同事情的人。

"I go to the parking garage and get into my car. I signal my turn onto the street." “我走到停車場，然后上了車。我打開轉(zhuǎn)向燈，開上了大街”。

To signal, "signal," means to indicate, and in a car it means to turn on what we call the blinker, "blinker." “Signal”是“指示”的意思，而在汽車?yán)铮囊馑际谴蜷_我們所謂的轉(zhuǎn)向燈(blinker)。

The blinker is what indicates whether you are going to turn left or right. 轉(zhuǎn)向燈是你要向左開還是要向右開的指示。

So, when you are driving your car and you want to make a turn, you have to signal, are you going left or are you going right. 因此，你在開車、想要轉(zhuǎn)彎的時(shí)候，你必須要打開轉(zhuǎn)向燈，你要往左開還是要往右開。

And of course, in the back of the car, there's a little light that goes on and off, we would say it flashes, "flashes." 當(dāng)然，在汽車尾部，有一盞一亮一滅的小燈，我們會(huì)說它在閃光(flash)，

To flash means to go on and off quickly. “Flash”意味著燈快速地亮和滅。
