Innovo公司每年都會從高校soon-to-be graduate(即將畢業(yè)的學(xué)生)里招聘一批interns,一方面可以作為公司的儲備力量,另一方面也可以relieve workload(減輕工作負(fù)擔(dān))。
夏季過后,由于Innovo開始朝上一年的market target plan進(jìn)行最后沖刺。一時間Marketing Department的工作量激增,Nancy不得已,只好向HR Director Bradley申請招聘兩名interns(實習(xí)生)來幫忙。Bradley了解他們的苦衷,毫不猶豫就permit(批準(zhǔn))了。
像Innovo這樣的跨國企業(yè),recruitment procedure(招聘流程)非常正規(guī),即使是intern招聘也是這樣。按照規(guī)定,必須先在相關(guān)websites發(fā)布招聘廣告信息,并且要給applicants(申請者)留出至少一周的時間apply(申請)。而resume(簡歷)的篩選和處理都要在HR Department公開,以保證fairness(公正)。
為了能夠盡快解決lack of labor(人手不夠)的問題,Nancy得到Bradley的permission之后立即叫她的助理Sean和HR Manager Rainy一起準(zhǔn)備一份recruitment advertisement(招聘廣告)發(fā)布在幾所有營銷專業(yè)的高校BBS上,并且打電話發(fā)傳真給這些高校的就業(yè)辦公室,讓他們幫助Innovo向?qū)W生傳達(dá)招聘信息。當(dāng)前的就業(yè)形勢非常嚴(yán)峻,高校就業(yè)辦對企業(yè)提供的這類信息非常歡迎,他們不敢懈怠,積極地向?qū)W生forward(轉(zhuǎn)達(dá))advertisement information,并且很快就根據(jù)Innovo的招聘要求傳回了recommendation list(推薦名單)。
Application deadline(申請的截止日期)是一周后,結(jié)果前三天Rainy就收到1000多份resumes,她叫兩位同事按照key words(關(guān)鍵字)幫她一起篩選,然后把篩選出的40份簡歷交給Nancy 和 Bradley過目,兩人又商量權(quán)衡著篩掉了一半,剩下的20人由Rainy挨個兒電話notify(通知)兩天后來公司參加interview(面試)。
說實話,Nancy之前都是當(dāng)interviewee被別人面試,并沒有做過interviewer面試別人。心里很是沒底兒,她和Bradley商量怎么安排這次的interview:20個人只有上午三個小時的時間,每個人只有不到十分鐘,這么短的時間怎么才能真正了解每一個candidate(候選人)呢。Bradley胸有成竹地說:“到時候我們來bring up questions(提問題),你就負(fù)責(zé)做audience(聽眾)觀察他們的performance就行了。”面試當(dāng)天,Nancy就按照Bradley的suggestion,坐在旁邊一聲不吭,悄悄地觀察這些應(yīng)聘者。心里不禁感概仿佛見到了當(dāng)年的自己,young and aspiring。果然不到三個小時,20個人的interview就結(jié)束了。剛好趕上lunch break,所有的applicants(申請者)都被邀請參加lunch buffet(自助午餐)。Bradley建議Nancy借這個機會,再針對上午的面試給這些applicants做了個summary。這個要求太突然了,Nancy根本沒有思想準(zhǔn)備。但是一想到這次recruitment是給自己部門招人,自己對應(yīng)聘者應(yīng)該說點什么。她稍作醞釀,就走到這些年輕的大學(xué)生中間。

As an intern, you will be fully integrated into a project team, working directly with a staff member in the planning of an upcoming project. All work completed is used for active programs and may often be presented to members of Marketing Department. The assignments will include a specific project, an assortment of support tasks to provide exposure in general to the office environment, and at least one optional research project under the direction of the managers.
Your will be informed of the interview result by this Friday. If you were not one of the two interns this time, your application and information will be held on file for future positions.

Nancy今天第一次體驗了這個曾經(jīng)讓她緊張不已的角色——面試官。想想自己從被面試到如今開始面試別人,她對這個新角色有了自己的詮釋:
1.外企的招聘流程一般是很嚴(yán)格的,招聘中每個步驟的時間以及參加者都有明確的規(guī)定。
2.招聘之前要明確需要招什么樣的人,需要哪些技能和經(jīng)驗。
3.針對在校生提供的實習(xí)崗位也要支付工資,并提供必要的培訓(xùn)。
4.在面試過程中,人力資源相關(guān)人員負(fù)責(zé)主導(dǎo)面試過程,招聘部門的管理人員也要出席,主要是觀察和了解應(yīng)聘者的表現(xiàn)。
5.有必要的時候,可以給應(yīng)聘者做個總結(jié),其中應(yīng)該包括:
●對應(yīng)聘者的積極性致謝;
●適當(dāng)評價應(yīng)聘者表現(xiàn);
●招聘的職位可以為應(yīng)聘者提供哪些幫助;
●該職位應(yīng)包括的工作內(nèi)容;
●招聘結(jié)果公布的時間和對應(yīng)聘材料的處理。
