怎么了，克倫威爾?
Cromwell says: I have no power to speak, sir.
克倫威爾說道：先生，我簡直沒有說話的力氣了。
What, amazed At my misfortunes? Can thy spirit wonder, A great man should decline?
怎么，被我的不幸嚇呆了嗎?你這樣才智出眾的人，見到偉大人物衰落至此也竟感到吃驚嗎?
Nay, an you weep, I am fall'n indeed.
不，你要是哭的話，那我可就完了。
How does your grace?
大人覺得如何?
Why, well; Never so truly happy, my good Cromwell.
很好，從來沒有像現(xiàn)在這樣好過，我的好克倫威爾。
I know myself now; and I fed within me A peace above all earthly dignities, A still and quiet conscience.
我現(xiàn)在真正了解自己了，內(nèi)心的寧靜超越了人間所有的尊榮，一種寧靜安詳?shù)母杏X。
The king has cured me, I humbly thank his grace;
國王把我醫(yī)治好了，我衷心地感謝他;
and from these shoulders, These ruin'd pillars, out of pity, taken A load would sink a navy,—too much honor:
他出于憐憫之心，從我這兩個肩頭，這兩根坍塌了的柱石上，把一副重擔卸下，我承受的榮譽太重了，會壓沉一支艦隊。
Oh, 't is a burthen, Cromwell, 't is a burthen, Too heavy for a man that hopes for heaven!
那真是負擔哪，克倫威爾，真是負擔啊，對于一個向往天堂的人來說，是太沉重了。
I am glad your grace has made that right use of it.
我很高興大人你能如此正確地對待這種負擔。
I hope I have: I am able now, methinks, Out of a fortitude of soul I feel, To endure more miseries, and greater far, Than my weak-hearted enemies dare offer.
我希望我能做到;我覺得，由于靈魂堅強了，我現(xiàn)在似乎也能夠忍受比我那些怯懦的敵人，敢于加在我身上的苦難更多更大的苦難。
