Hi, everyone! This is Keke Net English. Welcome to Juliet’s Morning English Class. As a saying runs, “An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening.” And another saying goes, “An early bird catches the worm.” So, what are you going to get at this morning? Do follow me and I’m hoping that we can spend a wonderful and meaningful time here.
課題詳解:
We’ve way of expressing that a listener’s understood the main point that’s been talked about. It’s way to say “I think you understand.” Guess what it is. Let’s listen to the following mini situational dialogue to get the answer.
(Scene:It happens between two friends who are interested in sports.)
Mary:So you want me to find some people who can join the club.
John:Yeah. You got the idea. We need new members.
Have you got the answer? It is “You got the idea.” It’s similar to saying “You know what I said.” The Chinese for it is—— “你知道是那什么意思了吧。” or “你理解了吧。”
Here’s an another mini situational dialogue, let’s take a look at:
(Scene:It happens between two close co-workers who are talking about health.)
Rose:I need to have a nice vacation this year.
Richard:Yeah. You got the idea. It’s refreshing to get away for a while.
Tip 1: “Refreshing” means “ making you feel less tired ”. For example:
The breeze was cool and refreshing.
Tip 2: “To get away” means “to leave something or somewhere”. For example:
I need to get away and rest up a little.
