特朗普祝賀莫里森就任澳大利亞新任總理

US President Donald Trump spoke with new Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on phone over bilateral ties and future cooperation last Friday night, the White House said.

白宮方面日前表示，美國(guó)總統(tǒng)唐納德·特朗普于上周五晚與澳大利亞新總理斯科特·莫里森通了電話，討論了雙邊關(guān)系和未來(lái)合作。

In a statement, the White House said Trump congratulated Morrison on his recent election.

白宮在一則聲明中表示，特朗普對(duì)莫里森近日的當(dāng)選表示了祝賀。

"The two leaders underscored the importance of the bilateral partnership between the United States and Australia," read the statement. "They also pledged to continue to closely cooperate on priorities the two countries share."

該聲明稱：“兩位領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人強(qiáng)調(diào)了美國(guó)和澳大利亞雙邊伙伴關(guān)系的重要性。他們還承諾在兩國(guó)共同的優(yōu)先事項(xiàng)上繼續(xù)密切合作。”

 

Trump last Friday also tweeted, "Congratulations to new Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. There are no greater friends than the United States and Australia!"

特朗普上周五還發(fā)推特稱：“祝賀澳大利亞新任總理斯科特·莫里森。沒(méi)有比美國(guó)和澳大利亞更鐵的友誼了!”

Morrison was sworn in as the 30th prime minister of Australia, after winning the ballot for leadership of the ruling Liberal Party.

莫里森在贏得澳大利亞執(zhí)政黨自由黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人選舉后，就任的澳大利亞第30任總理。

Morrison replaced Malcolm Turnbull, who resigned as the prime minister after 45 of the 85 Liberal Party Members of Parliament (MPs) voted to vacate the leadership at the meeting.

莫里森是接替了馬爾科姆·特恩布爾的職務(wù)。在議會(huì)85名自由黨議員中有45人在會(huì)議上投票退出領(lǐng)導(dǎo)后，特恩布爾辭去了總理職務(wù)。
