波蘭邀請美國建立永久軍事基地

Polish President Andrzej Duda appealed to US President Donald Trump's well known affection for slapping his name on buildings as he pitched a permanent US military base in his country that he said would be named "Fort Trump".

眾所周知，美國總統(tǒng)唐納德·特朗普喜歡用自己的名字來給大樓命名，于是波蘭總統(tǒng)安德烈·杜達(dá)在力薦美國在波蘭建立永久軍事基地時投其所好，稱將把基地命名為“特朗普堡”。

Trump raised his eyebrow at the idea but didn't ruleit out.

特朗普聽了這一提議后表示驚訝，但未予以正面回應(yīng)。

Trump then hailed Poland's offer to pay $2 billion toward US costs, even as he blasted other unnamed "immensely wealthy" countries the US effectively pays to defend.

之后特朗普贊許波蘭主動向美方提供20億美元建設(shè)資金的決定，同時不點名批評了其他幾個實際上享受著美國出資保護(hù)待遇的“富豪國家”。

"When we're defending immensely wealthy countries and they're not paying for the defense to the US they're only taking advantage of us," Trump said, resurrecting a harangue about Germany and other NATO allies who fall short of defense spending pledges.

特朗普再次炮轟沒有兌現(xiàn)防務(wù)開支承諾的德國和其它北約盟國，他說：“當(dāng)我們給那些富豪國家提供保護(hù)時，他們卻不愿意為美國的防務(wù)開支買單，只會占我們的便宜。”

'Ladies and gentlemen, I was smiling when talking to Mr. President,' said Duda during a joint press conference while standing alongside Trump. 'I said I would very much like for us to setup a permanent American bases in Poland, which we would call Fort Trump, and I firmly believe that this is possible.'

在與特朗普并肩站立的聯(lián)合新聞發(fā)布會上，杜達(dá)總統(tǒng)說道：“女士們，先生們，在與總統(tǒng)先生交談時我笑著說，我說我非常想要在波蘭建立一個永久性的美國基地，我們稱之為‘特朗普堡’，我堅信這是可能的。”

'I am convinced that such a decision lies both in the Polish interest as well as in the interest of the United States.'
