萬達(dá)投資17億美元建設(shè)延安紅色旅游項(xiàng)目

Chinese commercial property giant Wanda Group plans to invest 12 billion yuan ($1.7 billion) to build a red tourism-themed project in Yan’an, to Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province.

中國商業(yè)地產(chǎn)巨頭萬達(dá)集團(tuán)計(jì)劃投資120億元(合17億美元)，在中國西北的陜西省延安建設(shè)一個(gè)紅色旅游主題項(xiàng)目。

The construction of project, named "Yan’an Wanda city," will began in the first quarter of 2019, and will be open to the public by the first half of 2021, according to an agreement signed between the company and the Yan’an city government in Beijing on Thursday.

根據(jù)萬達(dá)與延安市政府周四在北京簽署的協(xié)議，名為“延安萬達(dá)城”的項(xiàng)目將于2019年第一季度開始建設(shè)，并將于2021年上半年向公眾開放。

The project, expected to cover 1,900 mu (126.7 hectares), will be a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to the Wanda Group. It is one of the largest red-themed tourism projects in China.

Wang Jianlin’s (the founder of Wanda) role as a member of the Communist Party of China may have influenced the decision to upgrade the red tourism project at "Yan’an Wanda city," according to a source with knowledge of the matter. As a PLA veteran, Wang may have a deep attachment to red-related tourism, the source said.

Yan’an is the heartland of the early CPC revolutionary activities. The Party spent 13 years fighting and living in Yan’an from 1935 to 1948, creating the "Yan’an Spirit," which emphasizes several qualities, including sticking to the right political direction, liberating thoughts, seeking the truth, self-reliance and serving the people wholeheartedly.

延安是中國共產(chǎn)黨早期革命活動(dòng)的中心地帶。我黨從1935年到1948年在延安戰(zhàn)斗和生活了13年，創(chuàng)造了“延安精神”，強(qiáng)調(diào)堅(jiān)持正確的政治方向、解放思想、求真務(wù)實(shí)、自力更生、全心全意為人民服務(wù)的“延安精神”。

The project is not Wanda’s first red tourism-themed project. In October, Wanda made an agreement with Zunyi, Guizhou Province, to develop a red tourism-themed project and two Wanda cities, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.

這個(gè)項(xiàng)目不是萬達(dá)第一個(gè)以紅色旅游為主題的項(xiàng)目。今年10月，萬達(dá)與貴州省遵義達(dá)成協(xié)議，開發(fā)一個(gè)紅色旅游主題項(xiàng)目和兩個(gè)萬達(dá)城市，總投資100億元。

"The Wanda’s red tourism project aims to make Zunyi a well-known base of the red cultural inheritance in China," combining the functions of tourism, business, learning, training and shopping, the Zunyi government said on its official website.

Established in 1988, Wanda Group has developed into a conglomerate of commercial management, culture, real estate and finance. It ranked 380th on the Fortune Global 500 List in 2016. In 2017, Wanda’s assets amounted to 700 billion yuan with revenue of 227.3 billion yuan.
