老撾前總理逝世，享年92歲

Sisavath Keobounphanh, one of Laos’ first generals, passed away at 7:09 am on May 12 at the age of 92.

5月12日上午7點09分，老撾第一批將領(lǐng)西沙瓦·喬本潘(Sisavath Keobounphanh)逝世，享年92歲。

General Sisavath Keobounphanh served as a member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee from the 1st to 8th tenures, Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee for the 3rd and 4th terms, and a member of the Politburo during the 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th tenures, the LPRP Central Committee said in an announcement on May 12 evening.

老撾中央委員會在5月12日晚上在一份聲明中表示，西沙瓦·喬本潘將軍曾任一至八屆老撾人民革命黨中央委員會委員，三、四屆任委員會秘書，四、六、七、八屆任政治局委員。

He was also Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Minister of Interior before serving as Vice President of Laos from 1996 – 1998 and Prime Minister from 1998 – 2001, it said.

報道稱，在1996-1998年擔(dān)任老撾副總統(tǒng)和1998-2001年擔(dān)任老撾總理之前，他還擔(dān)任過農(nóng)業(yè)和林業(yè)部長和內(nèi)政部長。

A state funeral will be held for the late general from now until May 16./.

從現(xiàn)在起到5月16日，將為已故將軍舉行國葬。
